New Delhi:
A man was shot dead inside a Burger King outlet in west Delhi's Rajouri Garden last night in a shocking crime in one of the busiest parts of the national capital.
Witnesses have told police that around 9.45pm two shooters entered the fast food shop and fired at least 15 shots at the victim. The shooters and their accomplices, who were waiting outside during the firing, fled the spot on two-wheelers.
The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The victim's mobile phone and identity card are missing. Police found nothing in his pocket except a bus ticket and a phone charger.
Police sources said that the deceased has been identified as Aman and was killed by gang enmity. Aman was called to the food outlet as part of a trap, sources said.
CCTV footage shows the man entering the Burger King outlet and sitting at a table where a woman was already waiting. Moments later, men arrive and spray him with bullets. The woman also disappeared, and allegedly took Aman's phone and wallet.
Police sources say that the woman has a criminal record and efforts are being made to trace her.

Senior police officer Vichitra Veer said, “We received a call from Rajouri Garden around 9.45 pm. BAT officers responded and went to the spot. “We are trying to establish the identity of the three assailants.”
