2 leopards enter cow shed in Gurugram, kill 10 cattle, CCTV video

At least 10 cattle were killed after two leopards entered a residential area in Gurugram, police said on Wednesday.

CCTV footage shows the big cats sneaking into a cowshed in Tikli village in Gurugram, causing concern among locals and a threat to the village's livestock.

After the incident, the forest department visited the spot and said that cages would be installed to catch the big cats.

Officials also asked local people to exercise caution after two leopards were spotted in the area.

Addressing. News agency ANIA forest official said, “We have received a report of a leopard attack in Tikli village. About ten days ago, we also received a report of a leopard attack in the same area, after which our staff came to visit here.” “

“In the CCTV footage, two leopards can be seen entering the area. Cows are easy prey for leopards, and that's why it has become a habit for them to come to the area,” he added.

“We have issued instructions to the concerned authorities to raise the village walls or put traps as a precaution. They have requested us to set up a capture cage, for which we will capture 2 leopards. Cages will be set up”. They said.

Earlier in January this year, a 13-year-old boy in a village in Gurugram was injured when a leopard attacked him while he was filling water in his yard.
