The babies, belonging to different families, were born on September 23 at a government hospital in Kairana. He was shifted to a private clinic run by Neetu Kumar (38) the same day after consulting a doctor.
One of the victim’s fathers, Mohammad Najeem, alleged that “after setting the AC on low temperature, Neetu and other staff members fell asleep”.
The two children were found dead inside the nursery the next morning when their parents went to check on them. The family protested and demanded strict action.
Circle Officer Amardeep Maurya said, “Based on the complaint of the children’s family, Neetu was booked under sections 304 (causing death by negligence), 419 (punishment for impersonation) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.” A case was registered under Kairana police station.”
Additional Chief Medical Officer (Additional), Dr. Vinod Kumar said that during the investigation, it was found that the doctor was operating without a license and medical degree. “The clinic has been sealed and Neetu has been charged under Section 15 (2 and 3) of the Indian Medical Council Act (1956),” Kumar said.
