“It is a joint conspiracy of TMC and police. They planned to kill me. Police helped and provided information. My security was withdrawn and then this incident happened,” he added. said
Arjun Singh, another party leader, claimed that Pandey was attacked in the presence of a senior Bengal police officer.
“Priyango Pandey is our party leader. His car was attacked and fired upon today. Driver shot dead. 7 rounds fired. This was done in presence of ACP. Plan to kill Priyango Pandey. Done. There is no problem so they are doing this kind of actions. Two people are injured, one of them is in critical condition.
BJP leader Swaindu Adhikari also reacted to the incident and accused the TMC-led West Bengal government of trying to derail the BJP.
Taking X, Adhikari said, “TMC goons opened fire on the vehicle of prominent BJP leader Priyangu Pandey in Bhatpara. The driver of the vehicle was shot dead.”
