A BJP leader, who is hoping for a party ticket in the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections, faced embarrassment when a banner he put up carried a picture of Congress leader CP Joshi instead of his name. who heads the state BJP unit. As part of the party’s booth-level campaign, the banner was displayed on an auto-rickshaw which attracted people’s attention, after which it was removed.

It had pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and Congress Rajasthan Assembly Speaker CP Joshi.

“I printed some banners with a printing press but by mistake the image of CP Joshi of Congress was printed on them instead of CP Joshi of BJP. I was not here for two days. Two such banners on auto rickshaw today. were present,” said Ramesh Kumar Koli.

“When I came to know about it, I removed them,” added Mr Koli, who is seeking a party ticket from the Revother seat in Sirohi. BJP’s Jagsee Ram is the current MLA from this seat.

BJP’s CP Joshi, who was appointed as the state party chief in March this year, is the Chittorgarh MP while Congress’s CP Joshi is the Nathdwara MLA and assembly speaker.

Taking a jibe at the BJP, local Congress leader Bhawani Singh Bhatana said that BJP’s CP Joshi has not been able to establish his identity outside his area, and not all his party workers know him in the state. .
