Yeah, well, Sean, you know, first of all, we'll point out the obvious. This popular pub is closed. It's closed and not able to run in any capacity at this time, but police have at least now arrested an Everett man and charged him with arson. Priscilla Barruel, 23, has also been charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony and malicious destruction of property. Now this fire started early Wednesday morning, early Wednesday morning, just after midnight actually. And witnesses who shared video with us say they saw all the windows of the pub were broken before the first flames. We talked to regulars at the pub and they're shocked to hear that someone did this on purpose. It's violent. It is. And to drive by. It's not even like they were locals like they were on a mission and yeah, I guessed it was just the wood-burning oven. They had, uh, like something must have happened, right? Or lightning or something. But man, yes, the damage is insane. To cars. Yes. The flames are so intense they've melted nearby cars and parts of a light pole. The Screaming Pig was a part of the neighborhood for 26 years. Its owners are vowing to rebuild it and create a new gathering spot, and it's unclear why this Everett man would have targeted this pub

Police say a man has been charged with arson in connection with a Boston pub fire. Boston firefighters responded to the Squealing Pig Wednesday morning. Flames at the pub near Huntington Avenue spread quickly and a second alarm was sounded. Prasidh Baruwal, 23, of Everett was arrested and charged with arson, breaking and entering a commercial building, and willful damage to property. The intensity of the flames caused the top of a light pole across the street to melt and two vehicles were damaged. “We believe this was a one-time incident that was targeted at this establishment and not the community at large,” Fire Commissioner Paul F. Burke said. Despite extensive damage to the pub, the fire was contained to one building. No injuries were reported.

Boston firefighters tackled the Squealing Pig on Wednesday morning. The blaze at the pub along Huntington Avenue spread quickly and a second alarm had to be sounded.

Prasiddha Baruwal, 23, of Everett, was arrested and charged with arson, breaking and entering into a commercial building, and intentional damage to property.

Due to the intensity of the fire, the top part of an electric pole located on the other side of the road melted and two vehicles were damaged.

Fire Commissioner Paul F. Burke said, “We believe this was a one-time incident, directed against this establishment and not the community as a whole.”

Despite extensive damage to the pub, the fire was contained to one building. No injuries were reported.
