A man was shot in Highlands on Baxter Avenue


A man was shot in Highlands early Saturday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police. It happened around 3 a.m. when officers from the LMPD Fifth Division responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of Baxter Avenue. When they arrived there, police found a man who had been shot. She was taken to UofL Hospital with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries. A department spokesperson said there was a fight nearby and then shots were fired. LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating, and there are no suspects at this time.
