State and local police released three new photos of the teenager on Saturday as the regional search for him continues. Two images taken from security video included an unidentified man who appeared to be speaking with Brown.

In an earlier statement, Rostock municipal police said they wanted to speak to the man or anyone who could identify him.

The two walked towards Warnemande Church Square around 7:45 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Princess Cruises thanked the German authorities for the search for the young man.

“We are pleased that Aydin Brown has been found safe and well,” the cruise line said in a statement Saturday. “We sincerely thank the German authorities for their quick response and extraordinary efforts in locating Iden after he landed in Warrnmund last Thursday morning.”

Brown has been reunited with family, the company said.

Brown's grandmother left the ship Thursday night amid the first hours of searching for Brown, and the company flew her mother to Germany, the cruise line said Friday.

“We understand the distress caused by this situation and will continue to provide ongoing support to the family on site during this difficult time,” Princess Cruises said at the time.

According to cruise ship tracker CruiseMapper, the 12-day voyage travels the Baltic Sea, including Copenhagen, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden. The round-trip cruise began on June 30 in Southampton, England, and was scheduled to return on July 12, according to the site.
