A person was robbed in an auto while moving in Gurugram.


: A Bihar resident was robbed by four people in an auto near IFFCO Chowk Metro station here, police said on Wednesday.

The accused took away her mobile phone and transferred Rs 58,000 from her UPI account before leaving it on the roadside.

According to the complaint filed by Rahul Kumar Bhagat, a resident of Bihar's Siwan district, the incident took place on Monday evening when he was returning home in an auto.

“One of them took my mobile password and forced me to reveal the UPI PIN. After that, they left me on the way and took my phone. Later I learned that in two transactions they 58,000 was transferred from my account,” Bhagat, who lives in Sector 33, said, according to the police. Following their complaint, an FIR was registered against four unidentified persons under Sections 379 (theft) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC at the Sector 29 police station on Tuesday.

A police officer said that they are trying to identify the auto and the accused with the help of CCTV footage in the area.
