A person who was injured in a motorcycle accident on Golf Course Road has died.

A 44-year-old man succumbed to his injuries on Sunday after an unidentified speeding vehicle collided with his motorcycle on Golf Course Road on Friday night, police officers familiar with the matter said.

He said that the accident took place at the underpass near Janpact Chowk on Golf Course Road at 9 pm when the deceased Raj Bahadur Yadav was returning from Sector 56 of Gurugram to his residence in Chhatarpur, Delhi. According to the police, Yadav’s elder brother Narendra Singh was also traveling behind him at that time.

Police suspect that a speeding vehicle hit Yadav’s motorcycle while trying to overtake, causing him to fall on the road. According to them, the vehicle then fled the spot without slowing down while the traffic stopped behind Yadav to avoid further injury.

According to investigators, the passengers informed the police control room, and an ambulance immediately arrived and took him to the government hospital in Sector 10A. Singh had reached the spot, and after recognizing his brother’s damaged motorcycle, he too went to the hospital.

Yadav was undergoing treatment for several hours before he succumbed to severe head injuries on Sunday morning, police said.

According to Gurugram Police Public Relations Officer Subhash Bokan, there were no CCTV cameras in the underpass and no one witnessed the accident. “We are looking at the case from several angles, including whether Yadav lost control. We are also scanning the CCTV camera footage on Golf Course Road to find out. Find out which vehicles were speeding out of the underpass at the time of the accident.

Based on Singh’s complaint, a first information report under sections 279 (driving or riding in a hurry on a public road) and 304A (causing death by negligence) was registered against the unidentified vehicle driver at the Sushant Lok police station on Sunday. went
