An American who recently visited West Africa said that people in that part of the world are starting to live better than those in America, and he gave reasons.
The man, who is a real estate investment advisor, explained that doing well in Africa is better than doing well in America.
He said that the well-to-do in Africa enjoy a better quality of life and have things to their name.
On the other hand, people in the US who seem to be doing well are drowning in debt and can't pay off most of their stuff.
He said he experienced culture shock when he returned to America after visiting Africa.
“If you're doing really well in your life, it's better to be in America doing really well in Africa,” he said.
He said that rich people in Africa are very relaxed, generous and can take time off from work for leisure.
However, rich people in America can't do that because once they do, the bills pile up.
He said, “It kind of shows why I think West Africa is the future because people here are giving the appearance of being rich, well-to-do, but it's because of debt and It is fueled by their doing two things.
“Both your husband and wife are working overpaid jobs, 50 hours a week each and doing it all just to make this face.
“Whereas in West Africa, once these people have made it, they're living a good life, they have that balance of life, and they're not killing themselves.”
