According to reports, the suspect allegedly assaulted her by dousing her with hot water and paraffin before setting her on fire on August 2, 2024.
Despite being rushed to hospital, Katlihu succumbed to her injuries on 11 August 2024.
Katlihu was studying to be a nurse at Dr JS Moroka Hospital, and her untimely death has left her community in mourning.
