The event invites are out and Apple is all set to enter the AI segment in a big way
The Apple iPhone 16 launch event is just a few weeks away where the company will talk about its AI features and other products like the AirPods 4.
Apple has confirmed the iPhone 16 launch event is set to happen on schedule. Apple is holding its big Glowtime event on September 9, where we expect to see the announcement of the iPhone 16 series as well as a look at the Apple Intelligence features coming to iPhones later this year. Not only that, we may also see the new AirPods 4 and Watch Series 10 at the same event, the company has said.

The Apple iPhone 16 launch event is on Monday, September 9 and you can listen to the big keynote with Tim Cook and company from 10:30 PM IST for those watching in India. Apple will be livestreaming the event on the YouTube channel and event page. The company is hosting an in-person event where the announcements will be broadcast.
iPhone 16 launch event: What to expect
The glowtime teaser in the invite clearly indicates that Apple Intelligence (AI) will be a big part of the event hosted by Tim Cook & Co. We saw Siri being activated with a glow from the edge of the screen and the AI features could be presented in the same fashion.
Siri will also get an AI boost, which isn't expected before early 2025. That being said, iOS 18 will bring native integration of ChatGPT for iPhone users, thanks to Apple's deal with OpenAI, which was announced at WWDC 2024 earlier this year.
Talking about the iPhone 16 lineup, rumours suggest the regular model may feature design changes, especially with the camera module at the back. However, the Pro models will feature mostly new A-series hardware that will also bring AI features to the regular variants, something that iPhone 15 users won't get.
The iPhone 16 series will be Apple's major rival to the new Pixel 9 series and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold models in the market. All three have a special focus on AI and Apple is likely to do the same, although at a later date, as earlier reports suggest.
The iPhone 16 Pros should come with better sensors and a new colour variant called Desert Titanium could also be part of this series this year. We will also see a larger model of the Apple Watch Series 10 and the Watch Ultra 3 is also likely to be introduced. The AirPods 4 will be an interesting addition and we are hoping that Apple gives them some notable upgrades.
