Arvind Kejriwal predicts PM Modi's loss in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, says 'BJP will be wiped out…'


Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has predicted a loss for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, saying the party will be “wiped out in Punjab and Delhi”.

Addressing the public during a road show in Delhi on Saturday, Kejriwal said that PM Modi's government will not come to power on June 4, but instead a Hindustan Bloc government, which will include the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). will be part of will be formed.

He added that while everyone is saying that the BJP is not getting a majority, “its seats are decreasing in Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh”.

“It has been 20 hours since I came out of jail,” Kejriwal said during the Mehrauli road show. I have spoken to many people on the phone. Everyone is saying that the BJP is not getting a majority, its seats are shrinking in Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, and UP. They will be wiped out in Punjab and Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann during the road show. This was the first roadshow attended by Kejriwal since his release from Tihar Jail on Friday.

Speaking on Saturday, Kejriwal also accused the BJP of trying to stop the functioning of the AAP government, which he considered a threat to democracy. He also appealed to the people to support him in his fight against the “dictatorship” of the BJP.

“They (BJP) want to stop our work. This is not good for the country, it is dictatorship. And common people have to fight against this dictatorship. I am fighting against this dictatorship, but I need your support. Need support”. Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal accused the Modi government of arresting him because he had built schools and hospitals for the people of Delhi.

“When they arrested me, I was thinking what is my fault? My fault is that I have built good schools and hospitals for the people of Delhi. When I went to Tihar, they took my insulin for 15 days. closed,” said the Delhi Chief Minister. said.

Arvind Kejriwal's statement comes a day after he got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The court on Friday granted him interim bail till June 1 in the excise policy case.

Kejriwal spent more than 50 days in Tihar jail after he was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in an excise policy case on March 21, days after the election schedule for the general elections was announced.

The bail is valid till June 1 and Kejriwal will have to surrender before the authorities on June 2. The Chief Minister of Delhi can participate in the election campaign but cannot go to his office as the Chief Minister.

Lok Sabha elections in seven parliamentary constituencies in Delhi will be held in a single phase on May 25, with counting of votes on June 4.
