Asian Games: India hits new milestone with century of medals and highest ever rank in table

The Games is full of historic achievements, a strong return to the podium at the Games it had previously missed, and the memorable comeback will culminate with another historic moment – for the first time, India will cross the 100-medal mark at the Asiad.
The unprecedented medal will also ensure India’s best-ever rank at the Asian Games in over 60 years, with fourth place now secured behind China, Japan and South Korea.
On Saturday, the last day of the events before Sunday’s closing ceremony, the Indian team has assured medals in archery (three), kabaddi (two), badminton and men’s cricket. Much more is possible in women’s hockey and chess. (Read more)
