Bangladesh bowler reprimanded for violating ICC Code of Conduct

Bangladesh fast bowler Tanjim Hasan Sakib was fined 15 per cent of his match fee on Sunday for breaching the code of conduct.

The incident took place in the third over of Nepal's innings, where during a fiery spell, Tanjim had a chat with Nepal captain Rohit Paudel in the middle of the pitch.

Tanjim bowled brilliantly in the match and bowled a match-winning spell of 4/7. Bangladesh won the match by 21 runs.

Tanjim was found to have breached Article 2.12 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “inappropriate physical contact with a player, player support personnel, umpire, match referee or any other person (including a spectator during an International Match)”.,
