'Baywatch' star Nicole Eggert shares the 'hardest' part of cancer diagnosis

Nicole Eggert revealed she is in a “gray area” regarding her 2023 breast cancer diagnosis.

“I'm doing fine,” Eggert told People magazine.

“I’m kind of in a gray area and I’ve finished my treatment, waiting on more imaging and maybe surgery.”

“There's a lot of waiting involved, and that's something I didn't really realize and no one talks about,” she said.

“But the gray area is the hardest because you don’t know what’s going on, and when I’m healing, I feel like I’m doing something productive.”

Eggert said she was on a “wild journey” she never wanted to go on.

“There are good days. There are bad days. It's a roller coaster,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

“It's a wild ride that I never wanted to go on. So, sometimes I feel well … that's just the way it is. But I just live. I just try to stay positive every day and try to keep moving forward.”

The 52-year-old actress joined the “Baywatch” cast for the premiere of the new documentary, “After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun.”

Other stars attended the premiere, including Douglas Schwartz, Michael Burke, Ingrid Walter and Carmen Electra. Missing in the evening was Pamela Anderson, who did not take part in the project.

“It's a little surreal, but it's so cool to see everybody and have everybody come and how well it's been received,” Eggert told ET on the red carpet.

The “Baywatch” star revealed his cancer diagnosis in January.

“I have a 12-year-old at home that I'm the only one taking care of. I have no family. I have nothing,” she told People magazine at the time.

“It made me realize right away that there's no way I can give in to this. This is something I have to get through. This is something I have to beat. She needs me more than anything and anybody,” he said of his daughter Keegan. Eggert's other daughter, Dilynn, is 25.

“I'm afraid that my everyday routine, everything I do to keep going, will suddenly stop when I don't feel well or get sick or end up in the hospital or whatever,” she said.

“It's overwhelming, and I'm just trying to do everything I can to get through this mess. When I lay down at night, I panic because I think, well, who's going to pay all the bills? Who's going to do all of this?”

Eggert cut her hair short and shaved her head in March.

The TV actress posted a video on Instagram of the moment she shaved off her hair.

His daughter was also with him on the occasion of this big reveal.

The song “Fight for Your Right” played in the clip, which showed Eggert holding a hair clipper and smiling before chopping off her already short hair.

“Maybe healing doesn't involve changing ourselves, but rather allowing ourselves to be who we are – Madeleine Eames,” the “Charles in Charge” star captioned the post.

Eggert found a lump on her breast during a self-examination in October 2023.

At the time, the actress had gained 25 pounds in three months and was experiencing breast pain.

“It was really painful and hurtful,” Eggert told People magazine.

“I immediately went to my general practitioner, and he told me I had to go and get it checked out right away. But the problem was I couldn't get an appointment. Everything was booked. So I had to wait until the end of November to get it done.”

She was eventually diagnosed with Stage 2 Cribriform Carcinoma Breast Cancer.
