Big encouragement for Pakistan! Haris Rauf resumes bowling ahead of World Cup

Rauf was ruled out after suffering rib pain during the IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Super Four stage match.

Pakistan cricket team has got a big boost before the World Cup 2023. Fast bowler Haris Rauf has resumed training after facing fitness problems. The 29-year-old has started his recovery and resumed bowling at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Notably, Rauf was ruled out after suffering a rib injury during the IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Super Four stage match.

Rauf shared a glimpse of his training session on Instagram on Thursday, where he was seen bowling.

“Get back to it. Alhamdulillah”, Rauf wrote on his Instagram story.

Although the scans showed no serious damage, Rauf’s participation in the World Cup 2023 was still in doubt. However, with the fast bowler back in training, it is likely that he will be fit for the World Cup 2023.

Notably, Pakistan is struggling with the injury of Naseem Shah, who is likely to be ruled out of the World Cup 2023. The return of Haris Rauf to bowling will provide relief to the Pakistan team management.
