BJP expels Uttarakhand leader allegedly arrested in minor rape and murder case.

New Delhi:

Aditya Raj Saini, a BJP leader from Uttarakhand, has been expelled from the party after he was arrested in connection with the rape and murder of a 13-year-old girl in Haridwar. The nominated member of Other Backward Classes Commission has also been removed from this post.

A case was registered against the leader after the girl's family accused her of rape and murder. Aditya Raj Sini had sought party ticket in the last assembly elections.

The girl went missing three days ago. His body was found yesterday along the highway in Bahadurabad area near Patanjali Research Centre. Her mother alleged that the BJP leader and his accomplice gang-raped her before killing her, police said.

After the girl did not return home, the family called her cell phone. He was picked up by a BJP leader, who said he was with him. The woman said in her complaint that the phone was switched off after that.

The next morning she went to Aditya Raj Saini's house where Amit Saini also lived. But he did not find his daughter there.

On telling her that her next stop would be the police station, the BJP leader threatened to kill her, she said in the complaint.
