Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh approached the Delhi High Court to end the case of sexual harassment of wrestlers.


A total of six wrestlers filed allegations of sexual harassment against Singh. Based on his complaint, the police registered an FIR against the former MLA.

On June 15, 2023, the police registered a case against Singh under sections 354 (outraging modesty), 354A (sexual comments), 354D (stalking) and 506 (1) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Charge sheet filed for offenses under ).

The complainants had earlier approached the Supreme Court to register an FIR against Singh. The Delhi Police then informed the Supreme Court that an FIR has been registered and the investigation is on.

A minor wrestler had also made allegations against Singh. However, she later withdrew her complaint and the Delhi Police filed a cancellation report under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO Act) in the matter.
