Kaitlin Clark's double-double performance helped the Indiana Fever beat the Washington Mystics 88-81 in Indianapolis on Wednesday for their third consecutive win.

The former Iowa star tallied 18 points and a career-best 12 rebounds to go along with six assists and four steals; it's Clark's second double-double of the season.

Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell scored a team-high 22 points each and both shot 72.7% from the field.

This is the first time since 2015 that the Fever have won four consecutive games at home.

“It’s huge,” Clark told NBA TV. “When you can put these wins together, it gives everybody confidence. We’re a young group, so I think we’re starting to see our potential and what we’re capable of. I think Aliyah has been amazing, Kelsey Mitchell has been great.

“Everybody is contributing in their own way and it's been fun. All of these wins are team wins. There's not one person that's doing everything for us, and when we have that balance, I think it's really hard for other teams to guard us.”

The Fever held a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter, which the Mystics quickly reduced to two points with a 9-2 run. But the Fever scored seven consecutive points to extend the lead back to nine points and maintained control of the game.

“Whenever they made a run, we always found a way to respond,” Clark told NBA TV about the team’s tenacity. “I thought we could have started the fourth quarter a little better, but we found a way to get it done.

“The second quarter was tough for us, they made a few three-pointers. Overall, I thought we found a way to win, kept pace and didn't give them a chance to come back at the end.”

Ariel Atkins scored a game-high 27 points for the Mystics, whose 2-13 record is the worst in the WNBA.

Clark and the Fever will now embark on a five-game road trip, beginning Friday against the Atlanta Dream.
