When Carrie Underwood says she’s “waited all day for Sunday night,” this is what she’s talking about. The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers face off in Week 5 in what could be a contender for the opening game of the season.

The 49ers are one of two undefeated teams remaining through four weeks. Everything seems to be working out this season in San Francisco. The offense is led by the best group of skill position players in the NFL and the defense continues to be excellent.

But the Cowboys are far from pushovers. The team’s defense remains one of the best in the NFL, and the offense has considerable talent. They are coming off a big 38-3 win over the New England Patriots last week, which brings them to 3-1 on the year.

Follow along as Yahoo Sports provides the latest news, scores and injuries as the Cowboys take on the 49ers in “Sunday Night Football.”
