Ottawa, Canada:

Canadian authorities on Saturday arrested a fourth Indian national for his role in the killing of Khalistan separatist Hardeep Singh Najjar, according to an official release.

Amardeep Singh, 22, of the Brampton, Surrey and Abbotsford areas of Canada, has been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) said Amardeep Singh was arrested for his role in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nanjar on May 11. He was already in Peel Regional Police custody on an unrelated firearms charge, the official release said.

IHIT Officer-in-Charge, Superintendent Mandeep Mokar said, “This arrest reflects the nature of our ongoing investigation to bring to justice those responsible for the murder of Hardeep Singh Nanjar.”

Hardeep Najjar, 45, was murdered on June 18, 2023, outside the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia.

IHIT investigators on May 3 arrested three Indian nationals – Kiran Brar (22), Kamal Preet Singh (22) and Kiran Preet Singh, 28, for the murder of Hardeep Singh Nanjar.

All three men are Indian nationals living in Edmonton and have been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
