CLEVELAND (AP) – Cavaliers star guard Donovan Mitchell is out for Monday night's Game 4 (7 ET, TNT) against the Boston Celtics, the team announced. Mitchell suffered a left calf strain in the final minutes of Saturday's loss to Cleveland.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report Mitchell's Game 4 status.

Mitchell, who has been suffering from left knee pain for several months, got injured in the fourth quarter. Boston wins 106–93 in Game 3,

He received some treatment on the bench during timeouts but his speed noticeably slowed during game action. With the Celtics leading by 13 points and close to victory, Mitchell left the court in the final two minutes and went to the locker room.

The five-time All-Star has averaged 36.8 points in his last five games. He scored 50 in the Game 6 loss to Orlando in the first round.

Mitchell played in only 55 games this season after being slowed by a left knee injury. He sat out 16 of Cleveland's final 24 games in the regular season.

The Cavs are playing without starting center Jarrett Allen, who has missed six consecutive games with a rib injury. Allen has not played since suffering an injury in Cleveland's first-round series against the Magic.

Top-seeded Boston remains without center Kristaps Porzingis, who has missed the last four games with a calf injury.
