chrissy teigen clears the color of bath water John LegendHis video received a lot of criticism.
Legend, 45, shared a video of Teigen, 38, on Instagram on Monday, June 17, writing, “Sometimes you have to exfoliate! @chrissyteigen's favorite @loved01skin products.” The video shows Teigen scrubbing her body with a washcloth and exfoliating cleanser from Legend's skincare brand, Loved01.
“What’s going on here?” Legend asked his wife, 38, who replied, “All the makeup on my body is coming off.”
However, the comments section was filled with people questioning why Teigen's water appeared brown. “Ok thank god I listened to her because she said she was wiping all the makeup off her body 😂 that kind of water would be fine,” one fan wrote. Another added, “She should let that dirty water drain before posting on social media.”
Others defended Teigen after she pointed out she was covered in makeup. “She literally says she's removing makeup from her body. It's makeup. Not dirt. Some of you guys are special,” one comment wrote.
Someone else slammed body shamers who weren't happy that Legend filmed Teigen nude. “Why are people making announcements about her lack of clothing? You literally see more skin when she wears a bikini and there are so many bikini pics of this model online,” the fan wrote. “No need to announce an unfollow. Their kids won't go hungry and you won't be missed.”
Teigen entered the chat to provide some context, writing, “The water is dirty because I'm taking my body makeup off, just like I said in the video, my sweet angels!”
Legend and Teigen don't seem to be worried about that as they are currently in France for the Cannes Lions Festival. The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, have enjoyed hanging out with and without their kids as they prioritize their family.
“Chrissy and I have decided to have one night out every month to get away from the kids,” Legend revealed at the Voices of Beauty Summit in March.[Our staycation] This includes staying away from the kids, going to the spa and that's it. [enjoying] each other's company.”
The legend added: “If you don’t take those moments to reset… [and] If you don't consciously take advantage of those moments, I think time can get away from you because you'll always have something to do. You'll always have work to do.”
Legend and Teigen met on the set of the musician's “Stereo” music video in 2006. They got engaged in 2011 and married two years later before expanding their family. The couple welcomed daughter Luna in 2016 and son Miles in 2018. Teigen announced her third pregnancy in 2020, but she suffered complications that led to the death of son Jack at 20 weeks.
Following their tragic loss, Teigen and Legend openly discussed their grief before deciding to conceive again via IVF. In 2022, Teigen announced she was expecting her rainbow baby.
Teigen gave birth to her second baby girl, Estee, in January 2023. Less than six months later, the two welcomed son Wren Alexander via surrogate.
“As far back as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four kids,” Teigen wrote via Instagram in June 2023, adding that she wasn’t sure if she’d be able to carry another child after a pregnancy loss in 2020. “In 2021, we contacted a surrogacy agency in our first correspondence asking if there could perhaps be 2 tandem surrogates who would bring us a healthy boy or girl.”
Teigen expressed her joy over the bond the couple formed with their surrogate after learning they were pregnant at the same time, adding, “While we were moving into the safe zone of my own pregnancy, we were thrilled to learn Alexandra had become pregnant with a little boy. Our little boy. We had hot pot to celebrate, watched Vanderpump Rules with our growing bellies, our families have socialized together over the past year.”
