All southbound lanes reopen after crash on I-85
UPDATE – As of 6:15 p.m., all lanes south of I-85 have reopened, according to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway. UPDATE – 3:45 PM: Traffic is backed up all the way from the crash site at mile marker 54 on I-85 to Highway 290, or mile marker 63, in Duncan, Spartanburg County, which is nine miles. The backup is affecting traffic on Highway 101 and Highway 14 as drivers exit the interstate. A crash Friday afternoon on southbound Interstate 85 in Greenville County is causing severe evening commute traffic.
The accident happened Friday afternoon near the Pelham Road exit (Exit 54).
Troopers say five vehicles were involved in the crash, including a tractor-trailer.
