Police have arrested a final year student of the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) Ekiti State Olalekan Oni for raping a male colleague.
A student of the Department of Criminology popularly known as Asiwaju recently presented his project research on the topic: “Involvement and Causes of Youth in Criminal Activities: A Case Study of Oye Local Government Area”.
In a video circulating online on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, the suspect, dressed in a shirt and shorts, is seen being led away by police among a crowd.
The National Association of Ondo State Students issued statements distancing itself from the accused, clarifying that he is not a member or affiliate of the union.

The Ekiti State Police Command spokesman, Abuto Sunday, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday, saying the suspect denied the allegations.
