Delhi Airport, 2 hospitals receive bomb threat email


Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) and two government hospitals received bomb threats through emails on Sunday, officials said.

The Delhi Fire Department said it had received complaints of bomb threats from two hospitals in Barari and Mangalpuri. Furthermore, It added that IGI Airport also received a bomb threat email.

Officials of the department said that they had received a call from Barori Government Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mongolpuri, Delhi. He said that further investigation is going on.

The bomb Threats were made around. 100 schools in Delhi, two in Noida and in Lucknow on May 1, which later proved to be a hoax. The threats were sent to schools through a Russian email service.

The Delhi Police had said that it had thoroughly checked all the schools that had received bomb threats and found nothing. Delhi Police Special CP (Crime) Ravinder Yadav said that some hospitals had also received similar emails on April 30.

Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka and Vasant Kunj units, Mother Mary School in East Mayur Vihar, Sanskrit School, Amity School in Pushap Vihar and DAV School in Southwest Delhi were among the 100 schools that received threats. DPS and APJ School in Noida have also received similar threats.
