Delhi liquor policy case post-bail Kavita walks out of Tihar jail, 'Jai Telangana'


BRS leader K Kavita walked out of Tihar Jail on Tuesday evening after the Supreme Court. His bail was accepted In Delhi Excise Policy Case

K Kavita shouted 'Jai Telangana' as he came out of the jail. He was given a warm welcome by his supporters who burst firecrackers and beat drums outside the jail premises.

In a video from outside Tihar Jail, K Kavita is shown hugging her son and husband. His brother and BRS leader KT Rama Rao was also present on the occasion.

Addressing reporters outside, BRS leader K Kavita said, “I want to thank you all. I am emotional to meet my son, brother and husband today after almost 5 months. I am only sorry for this situation. Politics is responsible. The country knows that I was put in jail only because of politics, I did not do anything wrong, I will fight.

K Kavita said, “We will fight it legally and politically. They have only made BRS and KCR team undefeated.”

Kavita later met BRS leaders and workers at the party office in Delhi's Vasant Vihar. He also fed sweets to his brother KTR.

On March 15, the Enforcement Directorate arrested K Kavita from her Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad. A few days later, the CBI arrested him from Tihar Jail on April 11 in the same case.

BRS leader got bail today. Supreme Court Bench Justices BR Gwaii and KV Viswanathan noted that Kavita had been in custody for almost five months and that investigations against her by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in these cases should be completed.
