Bengaluru: BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath He has tested positive for dengue and is currently resting at home.
Syed Sirajuddin Madani, BBMP chief health officer (public health), said Nath had been feeling tired and had a fever for the past one week. “We initially assumed his symptoms were due to work and stress. However, when he continued to feel unwell, we decided to test him for dengue,” Madani said.Dengue cases have risen significantly in Bengaluru in the last two months, with 1,036 cases reported in June alone.
