A number of social media users have unfairly confused the celebrations over the death of a former employee, sparking a huge controversy.
EY India hit the headlines in September when Anna Sebastien Perrail, an employee, died allegedly due to “excessive” work pressure. Following the incident, her mother, Anita Augustine, wrote to EY India chairman Rajeev Maimani, alleging that her daughter's “heavy workload” was the cause. Maimani expressed his condolences, saying he was “deeply saddened” but denied the family's claims.
