CHANDIGARH: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday arrested a person for allegedly encroaching on an immovable property worth Rs 85.60 lakh in Gurgaon, which was attached by the agency.
A residential flat in Spaz-I of Tech Park in Sector 49 was one of the immovable properties attached by the ED in a drug-related case worth Rs 23.32 crore under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. An investigation was initiated.
According to information, Harsh Yadav was fully aware of the fact that the property was the direct proceeds of offenses (POC) arising out of the scheduled offense of illegal drug trafficking run by Amit Kumar, Archana Sharma and others.
Harsh is currently in ED custody, a spokesperson said on Sunday.
ED started investigation based on criminal complaint and charge sheet. Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB), Amit, Sanjay, Archana Sharma, M/s Zatak Softech Pvt Ltd (M/s ZSPL) and others at Delhi under various provisions of the NDPS Act.
ED investigation revealed that Amit of M/s ZSPL was running an internet based pharmacy, which was supplying narcotic drugs / psychotropic drugs to various countries abroad viz. Was exporting to America.
So far authorities have seized huge quantities of such drugs, incriminating documents including 17 fake rubber stamps of various authorities, a list of 57 websites and an order list of psychotropic substances.
The total POC in this case is Rs 23.32 crore.
POCs obtained from criminal activities, including the sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, were used by Amit to acquire various properties.
The ED has so far seized seven properties worth Rs 5.73 crore, including one at 343, Tower-B3, 3rd Floor, Spaz-I, Tech Park, Sector-49, Gurgaon, Haryana.
