Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed he only has 13 first-team players available.
The Premier League champions suffered further injuries after losing 2-1 to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
City were already without Kyle Walker, Rodri, Oscar Bob, Jeremy Duco, Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish for the fourth-round tie.
Manuel Akanji was withdrawn before the game before Sawanho was taken off on a stretcher in the second half.
Ahead of this weekend's league trip to Bournemouth, Guardiola has admitted his side are struggling.
“We have 13 players (available), so we are in real trouble,” Guardiola said.
“The people who play most of them have problems and we will see how they recover.
“Tomorrow we have the two keepers and Erling Holland for a training session, the rest, so we don't have anything else.”
