Euro 2024 is hereThree years after Italy's stunning performance at Wembley Stadium, the continent's best teams are struggling to assert supremacy. The holders are among the leading contenders this time around, but it would also be surprising if they regained the crown on July 14, as England, France, Germany, Portugal and Spain have quality depth at their disposal.
Meanwhile, 16 of the 24 nations that qualified for Germany have made it to the knockout stages, with relatively smaller nations such as Slovenia, Albania and tournament debutants Georgia giving plenty of reason for hope. For the likes of Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, Euro 2024 represents a chance to push their emerging giants further, perhaps even stake a claim for the Ballon d'Or, for the rest it is simply a celebration of football and drama.
