Fake call center busted in Gurugram, 17 arrested


Gurugram, July 7 (IANS): Gurugram Police's cyber crime team busted a bogus call center duping people on the pretext of giving job loans and arrested 17 people, including 15 women, in connection with the case.

Police received information that an illegal call center was being run at Spaz IT Park in Sector-49, Gurugram on Saturday.

During the investigation, the police found that Faizal was the team leader of the alleged call center and Faizal was his colleague.

The accused told the police that the call center was being run in the name of Aditya Finance to provide job loans.

It was revealed that all the 15 girls were working as customer support agents who called people and offered loans.

During the investigation, it was found that this call center was operating for the last six months and used to cheat Rs 12-14 lakh every month.
