Fauci explains why he never resigned during Trump administration

“I felt and still feel an enormous responsibility to the American people.”

Despite death threats and fierce backlash from White House advisers over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic during the Trump administration, Dr. Anthony Fauci said he never considered resigning.

“I felt we should have somebody who could actually get the correct information out to the American public,” Fauci told “This Week” co-anchor Jonathan Karl on Sunday.

“I felt, and still do, an enormous responsibility to the American people, not to any administration or any individual, but to the American people.”
