Four members of the same family were killed in a road accident in Gurugram.

Gurugram, Jul 1 (PTI) Four members of a family, including three women, died on the spot while two others were seriously injured in a road accident on KMP Expressway on Monday afternoon, police said.

He added that the family from Sikar in Rajasthan was returning from Garhganga after the last rites of a family member when their Ertiga car collided with a canter.

According to the police, the incident took place at 2 pm on Monday near the Farrukhnagar exit toll on the KMP Expressway, leaving the car badly damaged.

The deceased have been identified as Brijesh Kaushik (52), his wife Sunita (48), his mother Kamala Devi (74) and his brother's wife Kiran Kaushak (46), all of Neemka in Rajasthan's Sikar district. He is a resident of Thana Hasampur.

The injured have been identified as Himanshu (24) and Akanshu (20), son of Rakesh Kaushak, brother of deceased Brijesh Kaushak, police said.

“We have registered an FIR against the driver of the canter who managed to escape but will be arrested soon,” said Inspector Surinder Singh, SHO of Farrukhnagar police station. PTI COUR MNK MNK
