If you're still hoping that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will bring a larger cover display, a photo showing a case for the phone may disappoint you.
On X (formerly Twitter), US-based case maker Thinborn has posted the image below with the #fold6 hashtag, suggesting this is a case designed for the upcoming foldable.
The photo provides further evidence that Samsung is not making any major changes to the size of the cover display. The cover display will be slightly wider due to the different aspect ratio. But the available screen will remain almost the same.
It's the same story for the 7.6-inch foldable display. It will have the same size as before, but will have a different aspect ratio, making it shorter and wider.
Apart from the wider display, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a more angular look thanks to sharper corners. It could also be lighter by about 15 grams and feature a titanium frame.
The story will continue after the video…
As for the rest of the package, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be disappointingly familiar. It will have the usual annual upgrades such as a new Snapdragon chip and new software. But everything from the camera specs to the battery capacity is expected to remain unchanged.
Samsung is working on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, which could have better specifications than the standard Fold 6. But the Ultra model appears to be a Korean exclusive for now. It could also be very expensive, as the standard Fold 6 is also expected to have a starting price of $100 higher.
