NOIDA: Residents of various sectors of Greater Noida on Friday reported unmaintained garbage dumps in public places like roads, parks, green belts etc. Residents of Sector 11 of Noida also reported foul-smelling water supply with high TDS while some areas of Sector 3 Greater Noida West reported no water supply.
Residents of Greater Noida reported no treatment. Garbage piles has been thrown on the streets for the past several days. Sector Delta 3 RWA president AK Panwar said that no civil work is being done properly in the sector.
Former general secretary of RWA of Sector Omicron 1A Yogendra Mavi told TOI that garbage from different parts of the city is being dumped in the green belt in front of Gate No. 2 of the sector. “As a result, this green belt is slowly turning into a dumping ground. This waste is also scattered on the road, which breeds mosquitoes and flies in large numbers, posing health risks to the residents. We need to dispose of this waste. is also facing severe stench and yet no action has been taken by the authority,” Mavi said.
Similar complaints were made by residents of Beta 2, Delta 1 and 2, Alpha, Gamma and other sectors.
Rashipal Bhatti, former president of Sector Delta RWA, said that construction and demolition (C&D) waste has been dumped in Sector F block for the past one week. “This is a gross violation of NGT norms under GRAP. We have already informed the authority, but there is no redressal. Besides, C&D waste is also encroached on the road,” Bhati said. said
Residents also complained about lack of sanitation in Greater Noida sectors.

While the contractors concerned have not been held accountable, officials from the Public Health Department at GNIDA have assured to address the issue.
