Ghaziabad: In view of the planned visit of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, police have tightened security across the city. Due to the visit, traffic is also likely to be affected during working hours in the city. VP Dhankar is visiting Ghaziabad to attend the Golden Jubilee function at Central Electronics Limited in Sahibabad on Wednesday, June 26.
On June 26 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, normal traffic will be affected from UP Gate to Dabar Teraha, Sahibabad RRTS, and Sur Arja Marg. Movement of all heavy and commercial vehicles from UP Gate to Dabur Teraha, Sahibabad RRTS, and Sur Arja Marg will be completely restricted from 2 PM till the end of the program.
Police personnel have been stationed at the company's premises since Sunday. Also, verification checks are done for people living around the company area. The shops in front of the company have also been closed. Apart from the restrictions and heavy personnel deployment, municipal corporation officials undertook to clear the garbage accumulated around the company premises.
Prohibitory orders under Section 144 will come into effect across the city on Wednesday, officials said, and police may also announce traffic diversions during the day. Additional Commissioner of Police Dinesh Kumar P confirmed that precautionary measures have been taken, and declared a no-fly zone, a TOI report said.
Strict restrictions include a ban on the use of any type of drone (unmanned aerial vehicle), paragliders, hot air balloons, or any other flying objects, including a ban on any type of drone photography. If anyone wants to use these items, he has to get permission from the police.
