New Delhi: The road from Gowal Pahari village to Andheria Mor in Delhi, an important section Gurugram-Faridabad route, is set for a major change. The plan to widen the road by 30 meters along its 8.8-km length will create a six-lane road, with three lanes on each side, offering a smoother travel experience.

According to media reports, to support this infrastructure development, Rs 50 crore has been allocated to the Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) from the Urban Development Fund.

On the other hand, the Najafgarh Road, which connects Gurugram and Delhi, is also to be upgraded to six lanes. The project is a joint effort between the Haryana and Delhi governments, overseen by the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB).

Currently, the part of Najafgarh road that falls within Gurugram is already a six-lane road. However, the section within Delhi is only two lanes wide. This disparity creates a bottleneck, leading to traffic jams and long travel times. To address this issue, the Delhi government has proposed an expansion plan to widen its section of the road to six lanes as well.
