Gurgaon: Students i Class 8 Public schools in the state can now apply for the scholarship. National Men's Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) is being implemented across the country by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Union Ministry of Education. It has already been implemented in several states.
Asked if launching the program was a violation of the model code of conduct, an official said it was a centrally sponsored programme, for which the budget was allocated by the central government.
Online applications for the scholarship will be accepted until October 10. After the application process is over, the written test will be conducted on November 17 between 11 am to 2 pm at the district headquarters.
