Gurdas Mann has postponed his visit to Canada amid strained political relations between India and Canada.
Gurdas Mann has postponed his musical tour in Canada indefinitely amid political tensions between India and Canada. The promoter of the tour took to Facebook to reveal that they had decided to push back the concert, saying it was the ‘most responsible and necessary move’ at the time. The Punjabi singer was scheduled to perform in the country between October 22 and 31. Gordas was scheduled to perform in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and conclude the tour in Winnipeg.
In its Facebook post, event promoter Gurjit Bal Productions wrote: “We regret to inform you that Gurdas Mann’s ‘Akhyan Udek Diyan’ Canada tour, scheduled for this month, has been postponed. We understand that this news may come as a disappointment to many of his fans and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
“In light of the current diplomatic turmoil between the two countries and after careful consideration and assessment of unforeseen circumstances, it has been determined that the cancellation of the event is the most responsible at this time,” he added. And it’s a necessary step.” .
“We understand the time, effort and expectations put into the event by everyone involved, and we deeply regret any inconvenience this change may cause. We will refund any registration fees or tickets made for the event. will take necessary steps to return the purchase. Detailed information regarding the refund process will be shared with you directly via email/website/other preferred communication channel,” the post concluded.
He added that the concert has been postponed and not cancelled.
Relations between India and Canada are at an all-time low after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused a “foreign agent” of involvement in the killing of Khalistan separatist leader Hardeep Singh Najjar in his parliament. He even claimed that he had intelligence information and evidence that the Indian government might be behind Najjar’s death.
