Gurgaon: 26-year-old man dies after van collides with truck, 1 arrested

GURGAON: A 26-year-old driver was killed when his cargo van rammed into a truck from behind on Pataudi Road on Sunday. The police registered a case against the accused. Truck driver who allegedly slowed down his vehicle without any indication.
According to the police, the incident took place around 1.30 pm near Anand Dhaba near IMT Manesar. The van driver Baikesh sustained serious injuries in the collision and was declared brought dead at Civil Hospital, Sector 10.
Based on a complaint by Baikesh's cousin Umesh, who was also an eyewitness to the accident, the police booked the truck driver under BNS Sections 106 (causing death due to negligence) and 281 (speeding on public road). Filed a case under
SI (IMT Manesar) Ishwar Singh said that truck driver Rinku Pal, hailing from Velanpur village of UP's Kanauj, has been arrested.

In another case, a 34-year-old accountant, identified as Ved Prakash, died and his colleague Manish Kumar Jungad sustained minor injuries when their motorcycle was hit by a truck on NH 8 on Saturday evening. Hit it. A case was registered on Sunday based on Manish's complaint.
According to the police, the accident took place near BML Manjal University around 6.30 pm when Ved Prakash and Manish Rewari, accountants of a furniture manufacturing company in Golaphari, were on their way.
“A truck hit our bikes from behind and both of us fell on the road,” Manish said in his complaint. Ved Prakash, who was riding a bike, ran away. Locals rushed both to Rewari Civil Hospital where Ved Prakash was declared brought dead on arrival.
Police on Sunday registered a case under Sections 106, 281, and 125A (injury caused by act endangering life) of the BNS.
