Some parts of Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), including Ghaziabad, received rain on Tuesday evening. Earlier today, the India Meteorological Department said light to moderate rain is likely over most parts of Delhi-NCR in the coming hours on Tuesday.

The Meteorological Department had also predicted heavy to very heavy rains over Southeast Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh due to a deep depression over Northeast Chhattisgarh and adjoining Jharkhand. The depression is likely to move west-northwestward, bringing heavy rains.

West UP, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand are also predicted to receive heavy rainfall on September 17.
The capital witnessed sunshine on Tuesday morning, with the minimum temperature recorded at 24.4 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Department said.
According to the IMD, cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle were forecast during the day and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.
The National Capital's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded in the “moderate” category with a reading of 163 at 9 am, PTI reported citing the Central Pollution Control Board.
