Hootie & the Blowfish's Darius Rucker breaks silence on arrest

Darius Rucker is opening up about his arrest earlier this year. The Hootie & the Blowfish founder was arrested in Tennessee in April on drug abuse charges.

“That shocked me,” Rucker said. People in an interview. “My friends that were in the police department would say, ‘Did you piss anybody off here? Because it’s crazy that they’re doing this a year later.’ But I think somebody wanted to make an example of me, and they did.”

Rucker added, “I'm taking care of this case with my lawyers. And paying the price, and we'll move on with our lives. It's too bad. Seventy-five years, never seen the inside of a police car or jail, and I got arrested for this.”
