India are preparing to take on the unpredictable Afghanistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8s, but it's not just the opposition's spin that they need to be wary of. Rain has washed out several matches in the ongoing T20 World Cup and India's final group match against Canada suffered the same fate. The India vs Afghanistan match is also under threat of rain, with the weather forecast predicting rain in Barbados in the afternoon.

During the practice session on Tuesday, all the four Indian spinners spent a lot of time on the field. Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal practiced and the four also helped Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav by bowling against them in the nets.

However, rain in Barbados interrupted the practice session for a few minutes. The city also received rain on Wednesday and it is expected to rain on Thursday as well.

Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video on its social media handles, in which Rohit Sharma said that his players are keen to do something special in the tournament.

“There is a lot of eagerness in the group to do something special. It clearly shows that everyone wants to do something different and we take our skill sessions quite seriously. Every skill session you do is there to achieve something. After playing the first game, we are going to play the next two matches in 3-4 days. It is going to be a bit hectic, but we are used to all this. We travel a lot and play a lot, so it is not an excuse,” Rohit said in a video posted by the BCCI.
