India and Australia will clash in the much-awaited match of the World Cup on Sunday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This will be the 150th ODI clash between the two superpowers of cricket. The two teams have jointly won seven World Cup titles (Australia 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015; India 1983, 2011). According to head coach Rahul Dravid, India batsman Shubman Gill is suffering from dengue fever and may miss the match. Gill is India’s top scorer in ODIs in 2023 and also scored 104 against Australia last month, helping India take an unassailable lead in the three-match series.

While Gill’s availability remains a big topic of discussion, there will also be a lot of focus on the weather in Chennai. India’s scheduled practice matches against England and Netherlands were canceled due to rain.

According to Accuweather, there is no possibility of rain in Chennai on Sunday. However, the conditions may not be suitable for the players as the humidity percentage can rise up to 82.
