Indian government warns about major Google Chrome security alert: What you need to know

Google Chrome has been hit by another zero-day vulnerability that has raised alarm bells among users and cyber experts. Even the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued its own alert which has been given a higher severity ranking. Google Chrome zero-day security warning: What CERT-In says

CERT-In's security bulletin states that several vulnerabilities have been reported in Google Chrome, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to compromise the targeted system.

“These vulnerabilities exist in Google Chrome due to a use-after-free error in the Views and Angle components; “Heap buffer overflow in WebAudio,” the security agency describes the problem.

– Google Chrome versions before 124.0.6367.201/.202 for Windows and Mac

– Google Chrome versions before 124.0.6367.201 for Linux
