Interest in NPS surges as AUM grows 27% to ₹10.22 lakh crore

Led by significant contribution from the non-government sector, the assets under management (AUM) of the National Pension System (NPS) – including the corpus on Atal Pension Yojana (APY) – have grown by 27 per cent year-on-year. 10.22 lakh crore on September 16, PFRDA data revealed business Line,

On the other hand, corporate NPS membership grew 17 per cent to 18.31 lakh subscribers (15.66 lakh as of September 16, 2022) and AUM was up 36 per cent. to Rs 1,39,375 crore NPS AUM had doubled to Rs 1,02,154 crore from 10 lakh crores 5 lakh crore in a period of just 2 years and ten months.

It took six years and six months for NPS to reach this milestone 1 lakh crore AUM after its implementation in the year 2009. After this, it took 4 years and 11 months to further increase the AUM. 5 lakh crore.
